Berlin 10.1 Update 1 - very slow compiler for iOS

i'm about to code my first iOS app. Got to about 120,000 lines of code (25,000 my own code, the rest comes from TMS components for GUI). Compiling for the simulator takes about 10 seconds. Compiling/debug for the iPad (without deploy) takes 1:38 = 98 seconds, that's 10 times slower ...
Deploy to iPad takes 60 more seconds.
Is this normal?
