TFDConnection

I have a server field filled out in a TFDConnection component with a host name. When I run it locally it will connect to the SQL server database. When I distribute the app to a webserver it cannot resolve the server name. I can run a NSLookup and it resolves the name and if I put an IP address in for the server it works. How and what does the TFDConnection component use/do to resolve host names in the server parameter? Any idea why this doesn't work?
